RIYADH -- The Saudi cabinet renewed Monday the government's "determination" to fight terrorism a week after a triple suicide bombing killed 34 people, the information minister said.

"The cabinet strongly condemned these criminal acts ... and declared the determination of the state to stand up to these evil acts and to fight the criminals who have no Islamic and human values," Fuad bin Abdul Salem al-Faresi told the official Saudi Press Agency. "The cabinet insisted that the security and stability of the kingdom will not be damaged by such criminal and terrorist acts or by those who are behind them."

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz chaired the meeting in the absence of King Fahd who had a cataract removed from his left eye on Monday.

Nine Saudi suicide bombers blew up three expatriate housing compounds in Riyadh on May 12, killing 25 other people, including eight Americans.

Saudi and U.S. officials have blamed Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network for the attacks.
